Gin Tasting with Adam Irvine 19th October 2017

Following on from the very successful whisky tasting we had a Gin tasting evening in the Sheep Heid in Duddingston Village on 19th October

 

 

 

 

Edinburgh Doors Open Day Sunday 24th September 14:00 to 16:00

Once more Dr Neil’s Garden is pleased to be involved in Edinburgh’s Doors Open day.

The Garden is open as normal , Thomson’s Tower is open 14:00 to 16:00 and entry is free of charge

Autumn Festival Sunday 17th September 14:00 to 17:00

The garden will have a special open afternoon to coincide with the Riding of the Marches through Duddingston Village at 15:00. This was spectacular last year, for full details see www.edinburghridingthemarches.co.uk/edinburgh-riding-of-the-marches/.

There will be:

  • Live Music,
  • Stalls. Donations of Garden Produce would be very welcome – contact Susan Mercer Tel 661 2931
  • Plants for Sale
  • Art Exhibition. Quiet Spaces, an exhibition of paintings by Carolyn Burchell

 

£3 entry including entry to the Thomson Tower

Teas are severed from 14:00.

Other community gardens within Duddingston Village will be open that day.

 

“Quiet Spaces” by Carolyn Burchell 10th to 17th September 11:00 to 17:00

Quiet Spaces  is an exhibition of paintings by Carolyn Burchell 10th to 17th September 11:00 to 17:00.

The paintings in this exhibition are of gardens and allotments in Edinburgh, including Dr Neil’s Garden itself, alongside some locations further afield. The artist will also have some of her sketchbooks on display.

 

“Such frail enclaves” 23rd to 30th September 11:00 to 16:30

Brigid Collins presents a gathering of artworks inspired by poetry.

This runs from Saturday 23rd September to Saturday 30th September, 11:00 to 16:30.
