The Trustees of the Garden always welcome anyone who shows an interest in helping us. The help required ranges from working in the garden, to acting as Thomson's Tower guide when it is open to the public, from distributing posters to dreaming up fund raising ideas. We need help both on a regular basis and intermittently. All ages and levels of fitness can join in. We are very fortunate in having an 'almost' full time gardener, but there is always much to do and many hands make the work light. Your help, however small, would be most appreciated.
Examples of the variety of help we are looking for include:- Basic gardening
- Joinery, painting, and stone work
- Helping during Open Days
- Guides for the Tower - any necessary training will be given
- Housekeeping for the Tower
- Receiving brides and wedding groups when they come to have their photographs taken
- Crafts for fund raising

Donations
Our gardener's salary is met through grant-aid from the National Trust for Scotland, but the expense of the upkeep of the Garden and Thomson's Tower are funded entirely by special events, and donations from the public. The Garden is free for the public to enjoy throughout the year, with the exception of our occasional fund raising event days.
The added upkeep, security and insurance of Thomson's Tower will have to be met by the Dr Neil's Garden Trustees and we will warmly welcome donations.

Dr Neil's Garden is open every day including weekends from 10 am till Dusk.
Open Days- Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September Doors Open weekend
Entry is free of charge (except during advertised events) but a donation of at least £1 per person would be greatly appreciated.
Group visits and tours must be pre-booked. Please contact 07849 187 995 (available 10 am till 6pm, Monday to Friday)
Thomson's Tower will be open to the public every Sunday during June, July & August from 2 pm till 5 pm.
Entry: Adults £2, Children under 16 free.
