Doors Open Day | 29 September 2024

Thomson’s Tower, 1pm – 4pm (Free)

The upper and lower rooms of Thomson’s Tower will be open to the public as part of Edinburgh Doors Open Days this year. The hexagonal two storey tower was built in 1825 for the Duddingston Curling Society by the famous Edinburgh architect William Playfair.

The lower room which houses a Museum of Curling has been closed to the public since the covid pandemic, but we will  spruce it up and have the story of curling at Duddingston on display once again.
