Art Exhibition: 'Gatherings' by Seed Sisters

Seed Sisters is an international art collective, first conceived of during the 2020 Covid pandemic. Our themes are based around appreciation of difference, connection to nature, and valuing our natural resources worldwide. Our responses within our art-making consider both materiality and cultural references to our locations in the world.

For this exhibition (part of the Edinburgh Fringe) we have taken inspiration from Dr Neil's Garden. Photographs of the garden were sent to the various countries and reinterpreted in a way unique to that country and artist. The artists comprise:

INGRID BELL (Scotland, UK) showing print-based mixed media.

MAKIKO BERRY (Kyoto, Japan) showing Sumo inks and mineral pigment on Washi paper.

JULIA RYMER BRUCKER (Denver, USA) showing acrylic and mixed media paintings.

ANN STEPHENS (Lot-et-Garonne, France) showing repurposed vintage textile art.

As a collective we continue to flourish, exhibiting over the three continents.
