Once more we are delighted to help with the RSPB’s Bioblitz festival
Come and join the RSPB for a day out in Duddingston and learn all about the amazing wildlife that calls Duddingston its home.
The RSPB will be surveying as many different types of species as possible on the day by putting on walks and having local experts on hand to help you ID as many things as possible.
There will be walks on all varieties of wildlife from Birds to Bees, Bats to Butterflies and Small Mammals to Reptiles.
The day will start with an early morning bird walk at 6am (booking essential) with the main bulk of the day kicking off at 10am.
Most of the activities will be coming to a close around 4pm but there will be a evening bat walk starting at 10pm. There will also be lots of children’s activities happening from pond dipping to worm charming. In summary there’s something for everyone: beginners and experts alike.
Please wear suitable clothing as weather is changeable and all activities are outside.
Refreshments will be available, with cake and tea stalls as well as light lunches.
